Copy of the correspondence between the Lords Chief and Puisne Justices of the Supreme Court and Frederick North. North instructs the judges to give up their buildings within the Fort to accomodate a regiment of Negroes from the West Indies. Sir C.E. Carrington and E.H. Lushington raise objections, protesting illegal violence from the military authorities and the consequent urgent necessity of civil control.
